Does TeamPrompt store the text I send to AI tools?

By default, **no** — TeamPrompt uses metadata-only logging, which records the AI tool used, action type (sent/blocked/warned), and timestamp, but does not store the actual prompt text. Admins can opt-in to full logging mode from Settings → Security → Activity & Privacy, which also records prompt text for compliance and auditing purposes. Even in full mode, prompt text is capped at 2,000 characters. Admins can also set a retention period to automatically delete logs after a specified number of days. Activity logging can be disabled entirely, in which case only usage counts are tracked. All logged data is stored in your workspace's database and is visible only to admins and managers via the Activity Log.
